Spectrum Worldwide to oversee operations for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009

Singapore, 18 June, 2009 - Spectrum Worldwide today announced that it has been awarded the contract to deliver all operational aspects of the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2009 (SCSM 2009).

The event management and experiential marketing company has been based in Singapore for six years and has regional experience working on more than 100 running events and a multitude of other sporting and corporate events including the OCBC Cycle Singapore, J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, and City Chase.

"We have handled the route management components of SCSM for the past two years, so we are delighted to have been given the opportunity to extend our role to oversee the entire operational side", commented Chris Robb, Managing Director, Spectrum Worldwide.

The scope of work for SCSM 2009, which takes place on Sunday, 6th December, includes providing all aspects of the route including aid stations as well as site management related services to manage the Start Point, Finish Point, Athlete Welfare Area, Baggage Storage Facility, Hospitality and Carnival Area.  With 50,000 runners participating in 2008, the event continues to grow and depends strongly on solid planning and infrastructure to ensure runners have an enjoyable and safe experience.
